National Caregiver Week is happening against an especially exciting backdrop this year as the very first national policy for Quebec caregivers is under development. The partners of the TCNA* are thrilled to be able to highlight caregivers, their actions and the kindness they show toward their loved ones.

A strong and eloquent slogan: Because we will all be caregivers

For the second year in a row, NCW will feature the theme “Because we will all be caregivers.” With the success and popularity of this message last year, the campaign has positioned itself as a significant event for recognizing caregivers, their role and their contribution to society.

The Facebook campaign: between sharing and recognition

Whether you are a caregiver every day or on occasion, or even if you have difficulty recognizing yourself as such, this week is dedicated to you. The social media aspect of this campaign will highlight the everyday actions of eight caregivers who agreed to lend themselves to this authentic and emotional exercise. Through the photos that will be shared by all our partners, you will be able to identify yourself as a caregiver or to show your gratitude using the hashtag #TousProchesAidants (#AllCaregivers).

Activities for caregivers, throughout Quebec

Do not hesitate to check with the community organizations in your region to find out their programming. Shows, talks, themed workshops and much more will provide you with new perspectives on your role and answers to your questions. While these activities are of course open to caregivers, they are also open to anyone who is interested.

For more information on the activities planned, visit the My Regional Appui Office section on our website or l’Appui’s Facebook page.
