Aphasia: resources for caregivers

If you have concerns about your child’s or your relative’s language and communication skills, consult a professional; early diagnosis is important.

Aphasie Québec

Aphasie Québec — The network forges links between member associations, health researchers and professionals, funders and government bodies, in the interests of people with aphasia and their caregivers.

The network now comprises 15 associations spanning 14 administrative regions of Quebec.

The organization’s website provides information on aphasia, tools and resources, and a list of members.

Find a speech therapist

Speech therapists are experts in language and communication. They work in the public sector, in educational establishments in the health and social services network, and in the private sector. You can contact a professional by visiting the website of the Ordre des orthophonistes et audiologistes du Québec.
