November is Diabetes Awareness Month (in French only) in Québec. The year 2021 marked 100 years of insulin (in French only). Insulin was discovered by researchers Frederick Grant Banting, John James Richard Macleod, Charles Herbert Best and James Bertram Collip at the University of Toronto.
World Diabetes Day is held every year on November 14. It focuses on access to diabetes care.
